But as on the evening before

by t-tedderbarb ggl traction brad zuetenhorst

But as on the evening before
On a table in the main hall
This attitude proved in the end to be possessed of a disconcertingly slender foundation
Striding down the hall in her nightgown and cap
And she tore me away from Bessie
What a dreadful scream
And the small Olympian Bear
In a piece of scarlet flannel
He asked
Watch all night watch all night
Wood and clay wood and clay
Smoke all night smoke all night
Bessie came in with a pastry tart for me
Because your son had knocked me down
It was starting to get dark in the Red Room
